In 2026, Aneta and Filip Gębscy began their collaboration with the National Museum in Warsaw on the project “Thirsting for Beauty. Curiosities”.
As part of the collaboration, the duo is responsible for creating the project’s original visual concept and developing its artistic narrative, combining a contemporary visual language with inspirations drawn from art history, symbolism and the world of bestiaries.
The project became an important stage in the further development of the MIRAGE technique and an opportunity to engage in dialogue with one of Poland’s most important cultural institutions.
The collaboration with the National Museum in Warsaw also opened a new space for artistic practices combining contemporary art, photography, drawing and exhibition narrative.

In 2025, the Gallery of Graphics and Posters at Hoża 40 in Warsaw hosted the solo exhibition MIRAGE: Photography and Drawing by Aneta and Filip Gębscy.
The exhibition presented the duo’s latest works created using their original MIRAGE technique, which merges photography and drawing into a shared visual language. The exhibition explored the boundary between documentation and illusion, between the photographic image and the drawn gesture.
The artists created a surreal black-and-white universe inspired by art history, memory and contemporary visual culture. Classical painterly motifs were confronted with the raw aesthetics of urban spaces, resulting in multilayered compositions balancing beauty, tension and metaphor.
A distinctive element of the exhibition was the recurring motif of worn paint tubes — symbolic protagonists within the Gębskis’ visual narratives. Appearing throughout the works like silent observers of contemporary reality, they became metaphors for the condition of the artist, the creative process and the very materiality of art itself.
The exhibition also became a reflection on the relationship between photography and drawing — two different ways of seeing that, within the MIRAGE technique, gradually merge and transform one another.
Presenting their works at the Gallery of Graphics and Posters — one of Poland’s most important galleries dedicated to poster art and graphic arts — marked another significant step in the development of the duo’s original visual language.

In 2025, our works were featured in the prestigious publication Polish Drawing — Selected Artists of the 20th and Early 21st Century, released by the Mazovian Institute of Culture to mark the institution’s 10th anniversary.
The publication, conceived and curated by Professor Apoloniusz Węgłowski, presents a cross-section of outstanding Polish artists associated with the art of drawing — from masters such as Bruno Schulz, Jerzy Nowosielski and Stefan Gierowski to contemporary artists representing diverse visual languages and artistic directions.
The inclusion of our works in this publication was a great honour for us and an important moment confirming that the MIRAGE technique has been recognized as an original and distinctive voice in contemporary drawing and visual art.

In 2024, we began our collaboration on the new film Good Boy, produced by Ewa Piaskowska and Jerzy Skolimowski in cooperation with Jeremy Thomas and the British production company HanWay Films.
Our work involved photographic and creative contributions connected to the visual world of the film. The project became a continuation of the artistic dialogue that began during the production of EO — a meeting point between auteur cinema, photography and visual art.
Collaborating with filmmakers possessing such a distinctive cinematic language became an important creative experience for us and another stage in the development of our own aesthetic at the intersection of film imagery, photography and the MIRAGE technique.

In 2023, the original poster created by Aneta and Filip Gębscy for EO, directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, was selected for the 28th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw — one of the world’s most prestigious events dedicated to poster art.
Created using the MIRAGE technique, the work offered an original interpretation of the film’s universe, combining photography and drawing into a surreal and emotionally charged composition.
Participation in the Biennale became a significant distinction for the artists and a symbolic meeting point between poster art, photography and the original visual language the duo has been developing for years.

On September 11, 2023, the opening of Aneta and Filip Gębscy’s solo exhibition — MIRAGES 2023 — took place at Station of Art Gallery in Warsaw under the patronage of the 28th International Poster Biennale and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
The exhibition was curated by Professor Lech Majewski — renowned poster artist and graphic designer.
The exhibition presented the duo’s latest works, featuring surreal figurative compositions inspired by the worlds of fauna and flora. All artworks were created using the original MIRAGE technique, combining photography and drawing into a single organic image.

In 2022, EO, directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, received the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
Aneta and Filip Gębscy had the honour of creating an original poster for the film using their MIRAGE technique — a fusion of photography and drawing into a shared visual language.

On November 21, 2021, the opening of Aneta and Filip Gębscy’s first joint exhibition — MARRIAGE 2021 — took place at the Orangery Contemporary Art Gallery in Jabłonna Palace under the patronage of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
The exhibition was curated by Professor Stanisław Wieczorek — distinguished graphic artist and Dean of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
The exhibition marked the first public presentation of works created using the original MIRAGE technique, developed by the artistic duo through the fusion of photography and drawing into a shared visual language.

In 2021, we began our collaboration on the film EO, directed by Jerzy Skolimowski — winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and Academy Award nominee for Best International Feature Film.
Our collaboration included photographic and creative work related to the visual identity of the film. We had the honour of designing original posters for EO, reinterpreting the world of the film through our MIRAGE technique, which combines photography and drawing.
The project became an important artistic experience for us — a meeting point between auteur cinema, photography and visual art. Collaborating with Jerzy Skolimowski and Ewa Piaskowska opened a new space for artistic dialogue and visual exploration.
One of our works created around EO was selected for the 28th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw. The original artwork was also donated to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity auction in 2023.

As part of the Night of Museums, visitors will have the opportunity to discover works that have never been shown publicly before: sketches, inspirations and photographic notes. Admission is free.

MIRAGE INTIMATELY is Aneta and Filip Gębscy’s story about the love of creating together. During this night of dialogue, we invite visitors into a world where images are not only observed, but entered into as relationships. Every gaze opens a new interpretation, and the image becomes a space of encounter — open, shifting and ambiguous.
What we see is only the beginning — the rest unfolds somewhere between words.
Atelier Gębscy becomes a place of this encounter: a space of dialogue in which the image lives and transforms through the presence of the viewer.

“Aneta Gębska is an exceptional photographer, capable of perceiving the subtle nuances of reality and preserving them like fragments of memory. Filip Gębski — artist, painter and graphic designer — is deeply devoted to drawing, perhaps the most primal and at the same time the most demanding form of artistic expression. Partners in art and partners in life.
Rather than following separate artistic paths, they chose to merge their talents and techniques into one shared visual language. They created the original MIRAGE technique — a fusion of photography and drawing that continuously complement and inspire one another in the search for light, transformation and ambiguity.
Their collaborative works unite feminine and masculine energies, the eye of the photographer and the hand of the artist, the strength of the photographic image and the fragility of the drawn line. It is a way of narrating the world that feels both unique and previously unseen — photography and drawing intertwined in a kind of intimate embrace.
The exhibition presents works created between 2021 and 2025, revealing different stages of the artists’ creative journey. Withered leaves transformed into mythical creatures, decaying fruits assuming new forms, masterpieces of old masters hidden within urban landscapes. The body, eroticism, transformation, nature, the impermanence of matter and a dialogue with the past are among the recurring themes woven throughout the exhibited compositions.”

The exhibition MIRAGE by Aneta and Filip Gębscy is an artistic journey through reinterpretations of masterpieces by great painters such as Vermeer, Courbet, Picasso, Whistler, Leonardo da Vinci, Klimt, van Eyck and Dalí.
The artists combine photography and drawing, placing these iconic motifs within monochromatic urban environments filled with billboards, streets and weathered walls. A distinctive element of the exhibition are worn paint tubes, which become guides through these apocalyptic worlds — at times silent observers, at others reenacting scenes such as the Pietà or contemplating Maurizio Cattelan’s famous Comedian.

and Early 21st Century
On March 3, the premiere of the exceptional publication Polish Drawing — Selected Artists of the 20th and Early 21st Century took place. The album was released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Mazovian Institute of Culture. The concept for both the publication and the entire editorial series was created by Professor Apoloniusz Węgłowski.
The publication presents a cross-section of 78 artists associated with the art of drawing — from major figures in Polish art history such as Witold Wojtkiewicz, Bruno Schulz, Jerzy Nowosielski and Stefan Gierowski, to contemporary artists representing diverse artistic languages and directions, including Paweł Warchoł and Aleksander Myjak.
It was an immense honour for us to be included among the artists invited to participate in this publication. We see the presence of our works in the album not only as an important distinction, but also as a symbolic recognition of the MIRAGE visual language — a technique we have developed at the intersection of photography and drawing.
It is deeply moving for us to find ourselves alongside artists who, for decades, have shaped the history of Polish art and influenced the development of contemporary drawing.
We are truly grateful that our artistic work has been noticed and has become part of this remarkable publication.

Regular exhibition openings and artistic gatherings take place at our Atelier, presenting new collections of our latest works.
For us, these events are much more than exhibitions alone — each meeting becomes an opportunity to talk about art, the creative process and the emotions hidden within the images. Atelier Gębscy is a space of living dialogue, where photography, drawing and contemporary visual storytelling meet the presence of the audience.
During the openings, we present new series created using the MIRAGE technique, alongside sketches, experiments and works existing somewhere between photography and drawing.

Poster Concepts
for the film Arcadian
starring Nicolas Cage
An extraordinary and completely unexpected adventure happened to us.
In 2023, following the success of Jerzy Skolimowski’s EO and its Academy Award nomination, we received a message from someone we had never met before — Los Angeles-based film producer Braxton Pope.
In his email, he asked whether we would be interested in designing posters for a new film he was producing.
What surprised us most, however, was the fact that the lead role in the film was to be played by Nicolas Cage.
For a moment, we genuinely thought one of our friends was playing a joke on us. So we replied, slightly incredulously:
“Is this the real Nicolas Cage?”
As it turned out… it was :)
Soon after, we were invited to create original poster concepts for Arcadian, directed by Benjamin Brewer.
It became an incredibly inspiring experience and a great pleasure to collaborate with the film’s international production team. We especially remember our collaboration with director Benjamin Brewer with great warmth — his openness and visual sensitivity created space for a genuine creative dialogue.
This experience showed us that the original visual language of MIRAGE can naturally exist within the world of international cinema and contemporary film poster design.

On September 11, 2023, our solo exhibition took place as part of the 28th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw and was presented at Station of Art Gallery.
“We are proud to present the works of the artistic duo Aneta and Filip Gębscy in the exhibition Mirages. This exceptional encounter with art invites viewers to immerse themselves deeply in the creative world of these remarkable artists.
The exhibition Mirages introduces an innovative technique within contemporary art. Discovering the Mirages of Aneta and Filip Gębscy offers a perfect introduction to this year’s edition of the 28th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw.
The exhibition is curated by Professor Lech Majewski — lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, acclaimed graphic artist and creator of numerous outstanding posters, whose artistic practice moves between graphic design and music.
The Mirages technique is an innovative fusion of photography and drawing, creating unique compositions that introduce an entirely new dimension to the world of art.
For us, the Station of Art Gallery Foundation, it is a great honour to become part of such an extraordinary event and to present this revolutionary artistic technique within contemporary art. Collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw adds a unique significance to this occasion.
During the opening, a conversation with the artists — Aneta and Filip Gębscy — was held and led by the exhibition curator himself, Professor Lech Majewski.
The opening reception not only allowed visitors to encounter the Gębskis’ innovative artistic approach, but also became an opportunity to meet representatives of the Polish artistic community, including lecturers from this prestigious academy.

Our original poster for EO, directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, has travelled across the world through the realms of cinema, visual art and contemporary poster design.
After international presentations and publications, from June 24 it will also be presented in Poland as part of the 28th International Poster Biennale — one of the world’s most important events dedicated to the art of the poster.
For us, this is both a tremendous honour and a deeply emotional moment. Especially because the poster, created using the MIRAGE technique, emerged from our desire to reinterpret the world of EO through our own original visual language.
We are deeply grateful for this invitation, for the trust placed in our work and for the opportunity to present our poster among such outstanding works exhibited during the Biennale.
And on September 11, we warmly invite you to our new solo exhibition accompanying the Biennale — MIRAGES 2023 — at Station of Art Gallery in Warsaw.

We donated
the original EO poster
to the Great Orchestra
of Christmas Charity (WOŚP)
We decided to donate the original poster for EO — the Academy Award-nominated film directed by Jerzy Skolimowski — to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity auction.
It was one of the most beautiful and natural decisions we could have made. We believe that art truly matters when it is able not only to move emotions, but also to genuinely help and bring people together around something good.
We are deeply happy that we could contribute our small part to this extraordinary initiative, which for years has united millions of people through empathy, solidarity and mutual support.
For us, WOŚP is far more than an event — it is energy, community and kindness that truly changes the world.

We are incredibly proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with such extraordinary artists on EO — a film that, from the very beginning, felt like something far greater than a cinematic production alone.
We still vividly remember our first conversations with Ewa Piaskowska and Jerzy Skolimowski, when they shared with us their earliest ideas and vision for the film. There was something deeply moving, intuitive and almost otherworldly about it. Even then, we sensed that we were witnessing the birth of something exceptional — a story filled with sensitivity, metaphor and profound emotional power.
Being able to accompany the creation of EO became a tremendous honour for us and one of the most important artistic experiences of our lives. Meeting such remarkable figures of auteur cinema opened a new space for creative dialogue between film, photography and visual art.
The film’s success — the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and an Academy Award nomination — was an incredibly emotional moment for us. All the more so because we had the privilege of becoming part of this extraordinary journey.

Created using the MIRAGE technique, the work was selected among the most distinctive and compelling film poster designs worldwide, attracting attention through its surreal aesthetic and unique fusion of photography and drawing.
For us, this recognition became an especially meaningful moment — a symbolic meeting point between auteur cinema, poster art and our own visual language.
The poster was also featured in international publications and events dedicated to contemporary film poster design, opening new creative opportunities for us within both the worlds of cinema and visual art.

MARRIAGE is a story about the meeting of two ways of seeing — photography and drawing — which we have merged into one shared visual language. It is during this exhibition that we will publicly present, for the first time, works created using our original MIRAGE technique.
For us, this exhibition is not only a presentation of artworks, but also a symbolic reflection on creating together — on dialogue, emotion, light and mutual inspiration.
The opening reception will take place on November 21 at 3:00 PM.
The exhibition will remain open until January 10, 2022, and can be visited daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Opening of Atelier Gębscy
in Warsaw
It happened.
After years of creating together, we decided to fulfil our dream and open Atelier Gębscy in Warsaw — an original creative space where photography, drawing and art meet in an ongoing dialogue.
This is where our artistic, photographic and commercial projects are created. It is here that we continue developing the MIRAGE technique, work on new series and prepare future exhibitions. Atelier has also become a place for meetings, conversations and creative exchange — we hold our own drawing and photography classes here.
We wanted to create an open space. A place people can enter not only to look at artworks, but also to experience the creative process itself and feel close to art.
Today, we officially open our doors.
